Liina Lahesalu

Clinical Psychologist

My special interest lies in neurodevelopmental differences, particularly in identifying the characteristics and challenges associated with the autism spectrum and finding effective coping strategies. I also work with individuals diagnosed with psychotic spectrum disorders, as well as those experiencing mood and anxiety disorders. I firmly believe that understanding oneself, recognizing the impact of various environments and situations, and being aware of one’s own influence on others can help prevent difficult situations and reactions, and improve overall functioning.

I work with both adults and adolescents and welcome the relatives of individuals with mental health disorders to my practice.

Professional Experience

I hold a master’s degree in psychology from Tallinn University and have been a licensed clinical psychologist since 2014. I have extensive experience working in the integrative treatment department for first – episode psychosis at the North Estonia Medical Centre (PERH), where I am currently still employed. Since 2016, I have been part of PERH’s Psychological First Aid team, and since 2020, I have served as a clinical psychology internship supervisor at the University of Tartu. I have presented at various professional conferences and conducted seminars.
