Liisa Jaagant

Psychiatrist

My special interest is working with individuals who have mood and anxiety disorders, as well as trauma spectrum disorders. I also treat psychosomatic syndromes (including chronic pain) and eating disorders. I have experience in diagnosing and treating various mental and behavioral disorders and consider supporting mental health through a holistic and individualized approach to be important. In my daily work, I value a trusting therapeutic relationship, evidence-based medicine, and collaboration with specialists from different fields.

I primarily work with adults.

Work Experience

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu in 2016. I initially began my residency in general surgery, but in 2018, a growing interest in the human inner world led me to psychiatry. I continued my studies in general psychiatry residency, which I completed in 2025. During my residency, I worked in the acute and general psychiatry inpatient departments and outpatient clinic at the North Estonia Medical Centre, including on-call duties.  I have also worked with children and adolescents at Tallinn Children’s Hospital.  I am a member of the Estonian Psychiatric Association and the Estonian Junior Doctors’ Association.
